So here's an easy way to clean your oven glass and the oven with no harmful toxins. This is a no brainer that I'm happy to share with you.
I wish I would of took a picture before I started but I was too eager to see if this really does work. You can just guess how bad the door was if you just take a peak at the inside of the oven. So what is that on the door you ask?
Homemade Oven Cleaner
1/4 cup Baking Soda
Water
In a bowl add 1/4 cup of Baking Soda together with just enough water to make it soupy.
Rub gently on oven surface and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
To remove take a damp wash cloth rub in circles to remove grease and grim. For stubborn spots use a scouring pad.
See it really does work. I had to use some elbow grease also but it was so worth it. I ran out of baking soda so I couldnt finish the oven. But, I will after I go to the store to get a new supply.
Let me know if you liked using this better than those chemical cleaners.

Another really nice diy cleaner I use around the house:
ReplyDeleteTake orange peels and fill a mason jar with them. Fill the rest of the jar with vinegar. Tighten the lid and let it sit for 7-10 days. Then strain it and use your new orange scented cleaner! :)
Commercial stainless steel ovens usually operate at intense temperatures for hours and anything that spills generally sticks.

I wonder if this way will work on my oven door as my door is much worse that your picture... everyday for the last few months I have been looking at my oven and wanting to sort it out. I almost called in oven cleaner sheffield to do it for me. If your way fails I won't have a choice but to call them in.
ReplyDeleteWish my luck!
